A room under an old stone cross-vault, plaster walls, a freestanding stone bath before a large arched glazed opening onto dark green shade, and a low linen bed.
One vault per room, with the bath at the arched front.

14:00

Its best hour. The reason for the name.

In the worst of the summer, the flock waited out the heat here. A sestador is a place where sheep rest through the hottest hours.

Five vaults, one row

A diagram of the row, not to scale.

Vault
5.4 m wide, old stone
Walls
Lime plaster
Floor
Honed pale gold stone
Outside
A walled yard, carob and almond

The old arched front, once open to the flock, is glazed with thin bronze frames. It looks onto a walled yard, so these rooms look inward, as the old estate does.

What you give up: the horizon.

A simulated rate of €560 a night. This is a demonstration, and nothing can be booked.
